How do I find an aged care home that's right for me?

The search for an aged care home is often an unexpected one. A fall may lead to a stay in hospital and a recommendation that you consider moving from home into aged care – but how do you find aged care in the area you want and with the services you need.

Autumn Care has three residential aged care homes in Melbourne. Each facility has a Manager and Director of Nursing on site provide hands on responsibility for all areas of the operation.  We encourage direct enquiries. You can call or email the Director of Nursing at any of our facilities at any time, or book in for one of our regular facility tours. A current schedule of tours, along with contact details (telephone and email), can be found by clicking here. Alternatively, ask the social worker you are dealing with to give us a call on your behalf.

Please read more about our homes here.

What types of homes are there?

There are two types of residential aged care homes – high-level and low-level. High-level care provides nursing care, meals, laundry, cleaning and personal care, while low-level care gives assistance with meals, laundry and personal care, when required.
